• Perform these tests on installed cables with the included remote terminator. The way it works is it sends a signal down each individual wire from the Master tester to the Remote tester. The master tester starts on the first wire then works its way to the 8th and then the ground after that. The remote end has nine LEDs that will light up in numerical order from one to eight. If there is a crossed pair the LEDs will not light up in numerical order on the remote side or if there is an open pair the light will not light up at all. 1. Press the power switch. If the red light flashes, the power is normal.
2. Insert both ends of the twisted pair into the main tester and the remote terminal, and start scanning one by one. If the line is good, the corresponding indicator lights show green in order; if the light is green after it is red or not lit or out of order, then the twisted pair is bad.
3. Press the GND switch to test. If the 3*6 light is off, the remaining lights and GND light will be green, and the shielding will be normal. If any of the lights are green and then red or not, the mask is bad.
